MONODECK 17T SYSTEM: OVERLAY PLATFORM SYSTEM DIRECT TO FLOORBOARDS

The monodeck 17T system is designed to reduce transmission through timber floors in situations where finished floor height is not critical. Monodeck 17T consists of a layer of 8mm reconstituted ACF (Acoustic Chip Foam) bonded to 9mm moisture resistant medium-density fibreboard.When installed as part of a complete sound reduction system, it enables a timber floor to meet the sound transmission regulations of Approved Document E 2003 and subsequent amendments in 2004, 2010 and 2013.

Applications

To be used over existing floorboards for conversions, refurbishments or new build with a new resilient bar ceiling.

Specification

The acoustic floor shall be: Monodeck 17T, manufactured by Isomass Ltd. Unit 11, Avenue Business Park, Off Brockley Road, Elsworth, Cambridgeshire, CB23 4EY and installed in accordance with manufacturer's instructions / recommendations.

Installation

Apply Isocheck Acoustic Angled Flanking Band on the edges of the Isocheck boards just before they are pushed against the perimeter walls to isolate the board from the wall.Lay monodeck 17T over a structural timber sub-floor, in brick bond pattern, applying Isocheck adhesive to all tongued and grooved panel joints.Install skirting and trim off excess Flanking Band.Full installation instructions for monodeck 17T are available to download by clicking on the link to the left of this page. Installation instructions must be used in conjunction with this information and/our information contained in the datasheet when laying the monodeck 17T floating floor system.
