FloorShield Flame Retardant (FR) is currently the only breathable floor protection on the market in this price range that is fully accredited LPS1207 and complies with fire regulations associated with temporary protection materials. Uses include temporary internal protection on building sites, in factories, warehousing, showrooms, offices and domestic situations. Suggested uses are for foot traffic on laminated flooring, screeded & coated concrete, terrazzo and carpeted floors etc. Can also be use for worktop protection, in offices to cover computers and other electrical appliances, office furniture and suspended under ceilings whilst work  takes place above.

Laying & Jointing FloorShield FR should be done on flat clean surfaces and is best laid in the longest runs possible for economy of use and ease of application. FloorShield FR joints (product to product) should be taped with Ockwells high tack flame retardant tape. When taping edges consideration should be given to the surface being protected, for example vinyl flooring, polished timber and laminated flooring should only be jointed with a Low Tack Tape Flame Retardant (FR). When taping edges to carpeted areas best results are achieved by applying Ockwells Carpet Protection Film (Non-FR) to all perimeters then applying 50mm or 75mm Ockwells high tack flame retardant tape to secure the FloorShield FR to the carpet protection film. The alternative method is to use Ockwells high/low tack exhibition tape that adheres to the underside of the FloorShield FR and then to the carpet.
